The focus of this course will be on the principles and beliefs upon which the United States was founded under God.  The student will become acquainted with the structure, functions and powers of our government.  Studies will include national, state and local levels of government.  A significant focus of this course will be on the U.S. Constitution and its underlying principles and ideas.  A study of current events and some memory work will be required.  Curriculum:  Abeka-American Government in Christian Perspective, Bible and teacher generated study sheets. Two – to - three hours per week study time should be scheduled.    Class time will be 1 hour and 30 minutes.  There will be 5 payments of $45 each and an additional $10 to cover teacher generated supplements.  Payments are to be made out to Jack Hightower and mailed to Jack Hightower 545 FM 1488 Rd. U.S. Economics (Spring Semester)  Grades 9-12  Jack Hightower
The focus of this course will be on the basic principles concerning production, consumption and distribution of goods and services in the United States.  The Student will also become acquainted with God's instruction on the use and abuse of money according to His Word.  This class meets 1 hour.  Cost will be 5 payments of $45 each for the class.  An additional $20 will be charged for teacher generated supplements and Stock Market Game fee.  Curriculum will be Abeka-Economics Work and Prosperity (Second Edition) and the Bible.
